Jasmine Bender is planner with a passion for connecting with communities, elevating local knowledge, and supporting a more collaborative future. She holds a Master's degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia. During her time as a student at UVA she was awarded the Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association's Outstanding Student Award, which recognizes academic excellence and potential contributions to the planning profession by a standout graduate student.

Her previous experience spans topics such as equitable housing development, urban public health, rural capacity building, aging-in-place initiatives, and coastal resiliency. Driven by curiosity, she is committed to fostering more engaging, understanding, and productive conversations through her work. Having grown up on Mount Desert Island, she is excited to share her professional knowledge with her local community, live by the ocean, and hike with her husband and her blueberry-picking dog, Marmie.
